Thank you to former students Anton Gabb and Marcus Sprason who return to King's for the 2024 edition of 'Business on the Sofa', an event run by Mr Lloyd for his Business and Economics students.

Anton and Marcus were part of a panel, hosted by fellow Club 1541 member and current Governor Kate Bedwell, that were discussing 'Jobs and Industries of the Future'.

Anton returned to share how he started his marketing agency, NOVA+. He talked about the many opportunities in technology, which was particularly inspiring to those students who are interested in computer science.

Marcus spoke well about his experience doing a Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship in Cyber Security and said afterwards, "it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening that included thought-provoking insight into both the corporate and entrepreneurial worlds".

The students were thoroughly engaged and encouraged to think about their own futures and asked plenty of in-depth questions.

If you are interested in inspiring or supporting current students and recent leavers as they take their first steps into the wider working world, please get in touch with George Smith via g.smith@thekingsschool.co.uk and join our thriving careers network.
