Governors, members of the Senior Leadership Team, and current pupils will be coming together on Friday, 24th April, to take on a series of challenges in support of The King’s School Bursary Endowment Fund. This fund plays a vital role in opening the doors to a King’s education for talented children from across the local community who would not otherwise have the financial means to attend.

Kurt Wyman (1979-85), Steve Mendel (1976-88) and Phil Smith (1997-2006) are all former pupils who are now governors and will be taking on the challenges alongisde fellow Club 1541 members Debbie Innes-Turnill, Virginia Issac, Russell Warner and Claire Thompson.

The Bursary Endowment Fund has been established to create a substantial, enduring fund that will over time yield enough interest to award transformative bursaries (75% fee remission and above).

The School's aim is to raise £1m in the Bursary Endowment Fund by 2028 and has already raised over £250k. All donations will remain the Fund in perpetuity and cannot be used by the school for any other purpose.

Your donation—of any size—will help widen the school’s reach, enabling the School to offer life‑changing opportunities to young people who show exceptional promise.

Every contribution is truly appreciated and will make a meaningful difference..
