Thursday 11th July saw the school year come to a close here at King's with an excellent Foundation Day where we were delighted to welcome back several Club 1541 members.
The event in the Cathedral for the school prize giving ceremony where we also heard from the guest of Honour, award-winning Harpist Oliver Wass. Oliver talked about the stong link between Science and Music and the importance of perseverance and resilience as he stunned the audience with two incredible performances, including a piece that took him two full years to master using a brand-new technique.
After also belting out the school song in the end of year service, our Club 1541 guests joined the rest of the King's community on Paddock for Pimm’s, pizza, ice cream and more. The sun shone on another brilliant year for King's and it was great to celebrate with former students and staff.
Thank you to all who attended, we hope that you all have a fantastic summer.
