We were delighted to welcome back the Class of 1993 to King's over Half Term for their 30-year Reunion.
Many of the former students hadn't been back to the school in that time and were delighted to be joined by Mr and Mrs Webber and Mr Evans for refreshments and a tour of their old school. The memories came flooding back as they saw their old boarding houses, classrooms and particularly their sixth form centre, which in that time was the top floor of palace!
They were also very impressed by the changes to the school since they have left and had to be dragged out of the school museum becuase they were enjoying all of the old photos so much! Mr Evans wowed them with his incredible memories of them all and was also an excellent tour guide, giving fascinating insights into the history of the school and buildings.
Thank you to all who came, in particular to Emily Tearle, our first ever Head Girl back in 1993, who helped with the organisation of the day as part of our new 'Alumni Led' reunion model.
Given the enormous success of previous Alumni led reunions in comparison to school led reunions, there is now a pot of funds available to all former students who would like to organise their own get togethers. There is still the option to come to King's, have a tour of the school and enjoy light refreshments, or even meet up away from school, as long as there are at least 10 former students in attendance, we can help with the costs! Photos from the day can be seen below.
