King's Plays Host to the Ben Morgan Testimonial

King's were delighted to play host to Gloucester and England Rugby legend Ben Morgan's Testimonial Dinner, with many members of Club 1541 on hand to help raise money for two very important causes.

Ben's testimonial year is supporting 4ED and the Sam Polledri Foundation and all funds raised from tickets and raffle ticket sales will go to these amazing charities.

The night was a great success and we are so thankful to all who came, and the local businesses who supported the event either through sponsorship, gifting raffle prizes or ingredients for our fantastic Thomas Franks caterers to produce a delicios meal.

Compered by our Headmaster David Morton, the event included welcome drinks where people could meet some of the stars from Gloucester Rugby, games including a King's favourite 'Heads or Tails', a raffle and a Q&A with Ben and England Women's Rugby star Heather Fischer.

A final fundraising figure will be announced soon but we know that we have raised thousands for both incredible charities.

Some of the best photos from the night can be seen below.

4ED supports individuals and families in Gloucestershire who are living with MND and the financial pressures it brings. This follows the diagnosis of Gloucester player Ed Slater with Motor Neurone Disease. For the full story, visit their JustGiving page by clicking here.

The Sam Pollefri Foundation aims to install public access defibrillators in as many places as possible. This follows the sudden passing of Sam following a cardiac arrest. To read the full story, click here.
