An invitation from Penny Fayter, our Dornakal Partnership Co-Oridinator at King's.
The King’s Young Performers are putting on a concert on Saturday 18th March on behalf of the DDEM School, King’s partner school in Dornakal, rural India to assist the education of the pupils who come from very disadvantaged families and to buy computers for the school. There are pupils from Junior School as well as Senior School playing and singing in the concert and all Club 1541 members are invited to come along.
It should be a wonderful evening and is being hosted by Holy Trinity Church, Church Road, Longlevens, Gloucester, GL2 0AJ. Holy Trinity had offered to host a concert pre-Covid so it is great that this can now happen. There will also be refreshments and a raffle, including the throw crocheted by Olive Rowe. The concert starts at 6pm-7.15pm and then the refreshments and raffle. Donations will be much appreciated on the evening.
Any gifts for the raffle would also be greatly appreciated as would cakes or cookies (nut-free) for refreshments and ingredients labelled on the tin. These can be delivered to Junior or Senior School reception by Friday or 17th or brought to the Church Hall on the 18th.
If you would like more details, or you would like to donate a raffle prize or make a cake please do. It would also be wonderful if you could come.
