Alumni return to help guide the current crop of students in a 'speed dating' careers' evening

We were delighted to welcome back several Club 1541 members, amongst other locals who work in a variety of industries, for King's first Meet The Professionals Speed Dating Careers event.

Students from the Lower Sixth were able to meet experts from five industries linked to their interests. Topics of discussion included how to get into the guest's industry, making plans for work experience and information on university choices and courses from a UCAS expert. It was an invaluable opportunity for our students to think more about where they should take their next steps, learn about roles they never even knew existed and to ask questions that they would never get to ask in future job or university interviews.

One of the professionals, who has children at our Junior School said, "It was fantastic to meet with and get to know some of the older students at the Senior School. They were all so polite and engaged and it's really encouraging that King's can help my child become like them when they are older."

We are very grateful to the Club 1541 members who gave up their Friday night's to inspire the next generation of King's students, and encourage anyone else who would like to help to get in touch with George Smith via g.smith@thekingsschool.co.uk
