The Club 1541 Golf Day returned today in beautiful sunshine as the teams battled it out, in great spirits, for the John Brain Memorial Trophy at the Brickhampton Court Golf Complex.
The standard of golf was exceptional with all teams in the two-man scramble having a net score under par. In the end it was the Markey brothers, RIchard and James who ran out as the eventual winners on a very tight leaderboard.
Prizes also went to former staff member Dave Griffiths for his longest drive and to Richard Markey who was nearest the pin. The whole day, which finished with a delicious meal, was wonderful as Club 1541 members spanning over 50 years of involvement with King's thoroughly enjoying themsleves and helping, through the raffle, to raise funds for future students to enjoy the school via the Bursary Fund.
Well done to all who took part, see you next year!
