King's and Club 1541 share the Freeman Cup spoils

Thank you to all of the former pupils who returned on Sunday for the Club 1541 Cricket and Netball matches against King's at Archdeacon Meadow.

In glorious sunshine, the 'Old Boys' batted first in the Cricket match and after several strong contributions, including a 50 from Ellis Saabagh-Holt, they finished their 20 overs on 193.

In reply, the home side batted well and kept the game competitive but ended up 18 runs short in a great game played in excellent spirits.

In the sports hall, the 'Old Girls' put together a strong squad and played some great Netball, but with a small squad were unable to win back the Freeman Cup, narrowly losing to the King's.

The day ended with food and drinks in the Pavilion and it was lovely to see old and new faces mixing and catching up after leaving school.

The next chance to take part will be on Sunday 6th December as the boys take part in a Touch T10 Rugby match and the girls will be playing Hockey, again at Archdeacon. Please do get in touch if you would like to play!
