Congratulations to former student Conor Horlock who has been named in D1AA top 100 players for Rugby in the United States.

The award, for players at Colleges, is very prestigious and comes off the back of a great season for Conor at the University of Connecticut where he was also named the team's Most Valuable Player and Captain for next season.

His fine form has also earned him a selection for national trials, good luck!

Off the field, he is in the second year of his PhD research and studies. His first Paper has published, and he is in the process of applying for funding for his next research project.

Director of Sport and Conor's former eacher Andy Philips commented, "We are very proud of Conor, he was a great player and pupil during his time with us so it is not suprising to see him enjoying success in the States!"

Conor's coaches at UCCON said on giving him the Mvp award, "We had several candidates in discussion, but this particular player stood out for many reasons. He showed up for every game and gave 100%, even when down by 60 at Boston Collage he was working hard to raise the team up and earn some points back. Whether we were getting our backsides kicked or not he was giving it all. Already one of our key players, he also improved his kicking, passing and game management skills to excel even further."
