I am sure you are aware that The King’s School Summer Ball is considered to be one of the highlights of our Calendar, and is a truly fitting climax to the end of the School year. This year, after three years of not being able to hold a Ball, we hope will be no exception.
We are planning an evening of great entertainment for all of our guests - with a welcome drink, three course dinner, a silent auction, the absolutely brilliant live band, ‘Tommy and the Fuse’, and last but not least, our excellent and ever popular Dodgems – all of which are included in the cost of your ticket.
The Ball is an impressive and distinguished occasion, but it is also a very expensive event to hold. Any funds raised are used to support worthwhile projects in the School – the Ball is run on a self-financing basis and is organised by staff, pupil and parent volunteers – we absolutely rely on the goodwill of the King’s Community to enable this event to run each year and could not do so without such vital support.
Please note, due to the limited number of tickets available, Club 1541 Alumni are being given the first chance to buy their tickets. In the unlikely event that there are still some tickets left, we will open up the offer to the rest of Club 1541. Tickets cost £75 and the maximum number of tickets that you can buy are 10. If you have certain people that you would like to sit with, please email George Smith via g.smith@thekingsschool.co.uk
As always, we are looking for parental Raffle contributions so that the evening is a success and to this end we should be grateful for pledges of items for the Raffle. All prizes, large or small, would be most welcome. Please contact Victoria Barnes victoriajanebarnes71@gmail.com should you wish to donate a prize – or telephone 01452 337323 and leave a message – we will return your call.
I thank you in anticipation and hope that you may consider joining us on the evening – it really is a fantastic occasion – I have no doubts whatsoever that you would have a brilliant time!
Yours sincerely,
Mrs Mandy Phillips
Chair of the Summer Ball Committee
