Club 1541 Members Enjoy a Special Back to School Day

On Thursday 2nd July, we were delighted to welcome a group of Club 1541 members back to King's for our annual Back to School Day.

For several of our visitors, it was their first time returning to the school in more than 40 years, making the occasion particularly special. The day began with lunch in the Hall, where our guests were highly complimentary about the food before setting off on a tour of the school.

The tour provided an opportunity to see how King's has evolved over the years, while also rediscovering many familiar sights and sharing memories of school life. Following the tour, guests headed to Palace, where they took part in two lessons: Business Studies and PRE. Many commented on how teaching methods and classroom experiences have changed since their own days at school.

Having successfully completed their lessons without receiving any detentions, our visitors enjoyed a trip down memory lane in the school museum, where they delighted in finding photographs of themselves and former classmates among the exhibits.

The day concluded with a visit to the Quire for a beautiful service of Evensong, providing a fitting and reflective end to a memorable day.
